Interdisciplinary Care Model
The National Intrepid Center of Excellence's (NICoE) interdisciplinary care model pulls from the best of western and complementary medicine to offer an integrative health approach for patients with persistent difficulties after traumatic brain injury (TBI) and its related health conditions such as psychological health (PH) concerns.
Unique Care Plans for Each Patient
The care plans developed at the NICoE are made up of a combination of treatments to suit the clinical needs and preferences of each patient. The NICoE's interdisciplinary approach allows our patients to experience the full spectrum of TBI care in a collaborative environment that promotes physical, psychological, and spiritual healing. NICoE patients meet with a team of specialized providers who collect a comprehensive history, performs clinical evaluations, and initiates individualized patient-and family-centered treatment plans.
Treatment plans consider all aspects of a patient's diagnosis and are unique to every patient. Each patient's team of providers stays in regular contact with each other to discuss and evaluate treatment options and make sure patients have the opportunity to try different types of treatment as needed.
