Swimmer's ear, also known as otitis externa, is an infection of the ear canal often resulting in redness, swelling, and pain within the ear canal that can expand to the outer ear. It's usually caused when contaminated water stays in your ear canal creating a moist environment where germs may grow. Swimmer ear is a painful condition and often occurs in children, however, it can happen to swimmers of all ages.
This model is useful for patient education, professional training and patient use.
