  • Semicircular Canal: Vestibular Receptor-Cristae represent the Micro neuro anatomy that allow individuals to detect angular motion when we move about in space.
  • Vestibular (vestibule): Maculae presents the two structures—Saccule and Utricle. The utricle and saccule, which contain the cells that detect the linear acceleration of the head and position of the head in space (spatial orientation).
  • Cochlear: Micro cellular anatomy of the cochlea. The cochlear is formed by three membranous and fluid-filled chambers that run parallel to each other:
    • Scala vestibuli (SV)
    • Scala media (SM)

Each of the 3 chambers provide unique contributions to our hearing.
