Education and Training

The DHA Immunization Healthcare Division is committed to standards of quality and to excellence in immunizations.

Our curriculum is designed to enhance the skills of health care workers from a variety of professional and paraprofessional backgrounds. CE credits are available for on-site training events.

Immunization Lifelong Learners Courses

IHD offers two live, in-person training courses offered periodically throughout the year: the Immunization Lifelong Learners Course (two days) and the Immunization Lifelong Learners Short Course (one day). These courses are designed to ensure health care personnel are trained in vaccine policy, vaccine safety, and effectiveness based on the Joint Regulation on Immunizations and Chemoprophylaxis for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases, Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices guidelines and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations for immunization practice. Recommended for health care personnel working within military hospitals, clinics or affiliated field settings.

Upcoming courses are listed below. More courses will be added as they are scheduled and opened for registration.

After registering to attend an ILLC or ILLSC in Joint Knowledge Online, you must also register for the continuing education credits/continuing medical credits on the Defense Health Agency J-7 (Education & Training) Continuing Education Program Office website. If you do not have an account, you must create an account before registering for CEs.

Make certain you received the access code from the ILLSC Course Manager. You will not be able to register for the CE without the access code.

Registration for CEs will open two weeks prior to the start of the course.

If you have technical difficulty registering for continuing education credits, contact the CEPO directly.
