The Immunization Healthcare Division provides online training through Joint Knowledge Online on vaccine products and immunization services. You will find a comprehensive list of active JKO courses below, and more will be added as they become available. Our curriculum is designed to enhance the skills of healthcare personnel from a variety of professional and paraprofessional backgrounds. Please see JKO's support page for information regarding technical issues with their training modules.

NOTE: Several of IHD's JKO courses were deactivated on March 31, 2024. Current web-based training courses with CE credits are available at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's You Call the Shots, CDC Pink Book Series, CDC TRAIN (see instructions on how to create an account), and The National Foundation for Infectious Diseases. IHD does not have preference of one reputable site over another. Upon completion of non-DOD training, be sure to print out your certificate of completion to ensure proper documentation with your unit or organization. You may not be able to retake these training modules if you previously completed them.

Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Training, Course Number DHA-US069, 2 hours (CAC authentication required)

This course was designed to help provide military and civilian health care personnel with important and comprehensive information concerning the influenza vaccine. It is designed to prepare health care personnel to administer influenza vaccinations and perform required administrative tasks in support of the DOD and USCG's Influenza Vaccination Program. This curriculum includes five training modules and a quiz. It is designed to meet seasonal influenza vaccination training requirement for medical personnel administering influenza vaccinations. This course is current for the 2024-25 influenza season.

This course meets the annual Cold Chain Management training requirement for healthcare personnel IAW the Joint Immunization Instruction. However, CDC You Call The Shots, Vaccine Storage and Handling is additionally required IAW the DOD COVID-19 Vaccination Program, per DHA-IPM 20-004. Upon completion of non-DOD training, be sure to print out your certificate of completion to ensure proper documentation with your unit or organization.
