Directions to the GME Office

The GME Office is located in Building 36000, across Santa Fe Ave. from Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. To enter Fort Cavazos, you must bring your military ID, driver's license, insurance card, and vehicle registration.

If you have a DOD CAC:

From I-14 (US-190), take the Fort Cavazos Main Entrance (T.J. Mills Blvd. exit). After taking the exit, but before going through the Main Gate, you will take the Santa Fe Gate exit (exit is immediately after passing the Marvin Leath Visitor Center). This will take you over T. J. Mills Blvd. to the Santa Fe Gate. Approach the gate in the right-most lane. After going through the gate, take an immediate right onto Wratten Dr. At the first stop sign, take a right into a parking lot. Park here. You can then cross Wratten Dr. into the Shoemaker Center (which is labeled the CRDAMC Annex on this side of the building). Go up the steps and enter the building, following the signs to the GME Offices.

If Santa Fe Gate is closed, take the Fort Cavazos Main Entrance (T.J. Mills Blvd. exit). Get in the left most lane. Pass through the main gate on T. J. Mills Blvd. and take your first left at the stop lights onto Tank Destroyer Blvd. You will then take the first left onto Wratten Dr. You will come to a stop sign. Proceed through this stop sign and take a left into a parking lot. Park here. You can then cross Wratten Dr. into the Shoemaker Center (which is labeled the CRDAMC Annex on this side of the building). Go up the steps and enter the building, following the signs to the GME Offices.

If you don't have a DOD CAC:

From I-14 (US-190) take the Fort Cavazos Main Entrance (T.J. Mills Blvd. exit). Go to the Marvin Leath Visitor Center. You will need to get a pass to enter post. Once you obtain this, follow the instructions above for proceeding to the GME Office.

Upon entering facility, take the first left after the information desk, down the Oak Ridge Hallway. Half-way down on the left, check in with at the “Strong Team” Front Desk and ask for the GME Office/Medical Student Coordinator.

Our state-of-the-art Simulation Center has training capabilities to teach isolated tasks for Fundamentals of Endoscopic Surgery and Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery. The SIM Center also has a wide variety of simulation equipment including ultrasound trainers and the Da Vinci robotic system trainer.
