Medical Student Rotation Information

Naval Aerospace Medical Institute proudly offers clinical clerkships for medical students enrolled in the Health Professionals Scholarship Program or Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences programs. The following guidance is provided:

  • Rotations must be for a minimum of four weeks in duration and must be submitted a minimum of two months prior to the start of clinical duties to ensure all administrative processes are completed before initiating travel to our site.
  • Medical students may request funded rotations (active duty orders). Rotation requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to rotation availability.
  • During the months of June to October of each academic year, priority for scheduling rotations is given to 4th year Medical Students who intend to interview with the program and apply for a PGY-one billet through MODS for the Joint Graduate Medical Education Selection Board (JGMESB).
  • Students shall have graduated from ODS (or service-equivalent).
  • Student rotations are NOT available during the months of November - January.

To schedule a rotation, please email: usn.pensacola.navmedotcnamifl.list.nami-medstudent@health.mil.
