Program Description

The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship program is the only one offered by the DOD. It offers specialized training in the interface of psychiatry and medical/surgical care.  Fellows gain expertise in assessing and managing psychiatric issues in medically complex patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and enhancing communication between psychiatry and other medical specialties. Emphasis is placed on trauma patients, functional neurological disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other military related issues that affect our patient population. The program combines clinical experience, leadership opportunities, research opportunities, and education components to prepare fellows for a career in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.

We aim to empower fellows with the ability to seamlessly integrate psychiatric expertise into diverse medical settings, fostering holistic patient care.
