On March 22, 2023, the Defense Health Agency hosted its fifth Virtual Industry Day Requirements Exchange. More than 2000 people registered to participate in the event. Small businesses made up almost 60% of participating companies.
DHA Director Lt. Gen. Telita Crosland provided opening remarks, followed by presentations by Brig. Gen. Katherine Simonson, DHA Assistant Director for Support (acting), and Ms. Katleen Berst, DHA Assistant Director for Acquisition and Sustainment, who shared their perspectives on how the DHA could work with industry in the future on key areas of the DHA mission.
Other offices such as the DHA Office of Small Business Programs, Financial Operations, and the DHA Innovation Cell also spoke to Industry Day attendees.
Eleven requirement briefings were delivered during Industry Day, outlining opportunities and information that may help industry partners:
- understand requirements
- plan their business development activities
- develop and communicate innovative solutions to DHA, and
- write more effective proposals supporting better contracting outcomes for DHA
