Chief Medical Officer and Director of Medical Education
Dr. Joshua S. Will, D.O., FAAFP, is currently the Chief Medical Officer, Director of Medical Education, and Designated Institutional Official at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Moore, Georgia.
Dr. Will began his military career after graduating from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. He was awarded an Army Health Professions Scholarship before attending the Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following the first year of medical school, he completed the Army Medical Department Officer Basic Course (Honor Graduate) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. After completing medical school, he completed his Family Medicine residency training at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Moore, Georgia and a high-risk obstetrics fellowship at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington. He deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 2nd Infantry Division as the Squadron Surgeon, 3rd Squadron, 61st Calvary Regiment in 2006-2007. He served as Battalion Surgeon, 15th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, during its deployment to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2013-2014.

Dr. Will’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (2 Bronze Campaign Stars), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, and the Combat Medic Badge.
Dr. Will is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He has completed a High-Risk obstetrics fellowship and has published and/or presented on numerous military, medical, and leadership topics. He is an assistant professor of Family Medicine at the Uniformed Services Health Sciences University in Bethesda, Maryland, and clinical faculty at Mercer Medical School in Columbus, Georgia, , Tulane College of Medicine in New Orleans, and the Georgia campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His hobbies include working on his farm, hunting, fishing, snowboarding, and mountain biking.
