Deputy Assistant Director for Health Care Operations
Ms. Regina Julian is a member of the Senior Executive Service and currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Director for Health Care Operations, Defense Health Agency. She is responsible for the policy, procedures, and direction of health care delivery in the military medical treatment facilities, management of the TRICARE Health Program on behalf of 9.5 million beneficiaries, and for the MHS's integrated health care delivery system.
Ms. Julian previously served as the Chief of the Health Care Optimization Division at the Defense Health Agency. She was responsible for primary and specialty care operations, patient experience, access to care, referral management and virtual health execution and for integrating appointing capabilities with the TRICARE network. Prior to assuming her current duties at DHA, she served for 20 years as an Air Force Medical Service Corps officer, during which she held a variety of group practice management, financial, business operations, analysis and healthcare operations positions at the medical facility, regional command and headquarters levels.
A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, she has a Masters of Health Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgetown University.
