Lieutenant Colonel Daniel E. Holland died May 18th, 2006 in Baghdad, Iraq while serving with the 352nd Civil Affairs Command. He was an Army veterinarian, who loved animals and serving his country. Lt. Col. Holland, along with three other soldiers and an Iraqi interpreter were killed by a roadside bomb while on a humanitarian mission in Baghdad. He was buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
