Specialist Matthew J. Holley was one of four Soldiers who died on November 15, 2005, in a bomb blast during combat operations in Taji, Iraq. The 21-year-old was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), out of Fort Campbell, Ken­tucky. Holley was buried at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
